Selvedge Fit is a Shopify app operated by Luke Hartman ("we", "us"). It adds a "Find my size" tool to a store's product pages. This policy explains what information the app handles, for the merchants who install it and for the shoppers who use it.

Information we receive from merchants

• Store details: your shop's domain and the access token Shopify issues when you install the app, so the app can work in your admin.
• Size charts and settings you create in the app.
• Product information we read from your store (product types and size options) to help you assign size charts. We don't store your product catalog.

We request read-only access to products. We don't access customer records, orders, or payment information.

Information about shoppers

• Answers stay on the shopper's device. Height, weight, body shape, fit preference and any "size I wear at another brand" answers are stored only in the shopper's own browser (local storage), so the tool can remember them. They are not sent to our servers.
• Anonymous usage events. When the tool is used we record anonymous events, such as "opened", "recommended size M (85% match)" and "chose size M", along with the product name and type. These events contain no name, email, account ID or other identifier of the shopper.
• Cart note. When a shopper selects a size, a hidden line-item note (for example "M (recommended)") is added to their cart so the merchant can see which orders used the tool.

How we use information

Only to provide the app: showing size recommendations, showing merchants their usage statistics, enforcing plan limits, and fixing problems. We don't sell information, use it for advertising, or share it with other merchants.

Service providers

• Shopify: runs your store, app installation and billing.
• Railway: hosts our servers and database in the United States.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us, and 48 hours later we delete everything we hold for your store: size charts, settings and usage events. You can also ask us to delete your data at any time. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs (including IP addresses) for security and debugging.

Your rights

Merchants and shoppers can ask what information we hold about them, or ask us to correct or delete it. Because shopper answers stay in the shopper's browser, clearing the browser's site data removes them. We respond to Shopify's customer data and redaction requests as required.
